Someday Happened 💫

Hello friend,
It's story time.
Let’s call her Jay. I didn’t know at the time, but it was kismet when she walked in the door. Some clients have a way of changing your life just as much as you may change theirs.
Jay presented with back pain. Common for people coming to our studio, but it was significant despite spinal fusions and other procedures & medications. It was tough going as feedback was present all the time. Movement didn’t necessarily make it better. And it was slow going, as this method commonly is. There were a lot of “nope, try it again’s.” She often left in frustration but persevered none-the-less.
At one point she looked across the room at the circuit training class and asked if she would ever be able to do that. My answer was…
someday.
Someday did happen.
Eventually, Jay began to add in classes, starting with Arch Curl, despite her fears. That was a turning point. Before long, she did find herself not just in the circuit class, but motionsculpt as well, dancing in a way she didn’t think would be possible again. This led to enrolling in the teacher training course, not to be a teacher, but to deepen her understanding of herself.
Jay is still in the community. We don’t see each other very often anymore, but it's like meeting up with an old friend and picking up exactly where you left off.
Onwards, Amy
