Mapping the side bottom ribs and crest of pelvis. In the sympathetic reflex, the ribs pull away from the surface and then tuck up under the ribcage as a way of "caging" and protecting the organs from potential harm. Short of being in an actual survival situation, this changes the functionality of the organs both in the immediate moment as well as over the long term if this becomes one's habitual organization.
The solar plexus reflects how you hold boundaries, handle conflict, and decide what truth you’re willing to voice. It’s where beliefs about competence live and where the body shows the gap between what you feel inside and what you allow out—whether that’s anger, sadness, or anything you’ve been bracing to contain. It also tends to tighten when perfectionism is running the show, especially when you’re trying to appear flawless or avoid making a “wrong” move.
